Applicants must be international students and scholarships are usually awarded to full-time students based on academic merit and course volume.

Students who receive entrance scholarships must have registered for at least 24 credit hours at the University of Manitoba in the current year to be eligible for the grant.

In most cases, students must apply for and complete at least 80% of the coursework completed in the current academic year to be eligible for the scholarship.

Certain course volume exceptions apply and are designated by the sponsor or sponsor’s representative in the scholarship conditions.

Graduate students are not required to meet a minimum number of credit hours as long as they are enrolled full-time in the fall and winter terms with the Department of Graduate Studies.
