Music Awards by not only winning the coveted “Afro Artist of the Year” award but also
etching her name in the annals of history as the first-ever recipient of this prestigious
award.

genre-defying Afrobeats sound gaining well-deserved recognition.
During her acceptance speech, Queen Drie expressed her gratitude to the organizers for
introducing the Afro Artist of the Year category, acknowledging the importance of

also for recognizing us and afrobeats and for afrobeats as a genre to make it up here
